The above is a picture of my small and furry friend, Pixel. She is 10 years old, half Siamese, half only the gods know. She was a birthday present from my sister, and I can fairly say that she is the best present I have ever received. Thanks.
She is very bright, for a cat, and understands a number of words. Whether she will act upon them, of course, is another matter altogether. Her name comes from the fact that she is almost always to be found on a monitor. She has been know to attack our dog (a large and not very smart Belgian Shepherd) on command, and makes the lives of the other three cats in the house a misery. All good fun. She also destocked my sister's pond almost as fast as my sister re-stocked it, until we moved and there was no longer a pond available, which irritated her for a while. She insists on following me around all the time, which can get a bit embarrassing.
She is also very talkative, and will hold quite long conversations with people, as long as they show an interest in her. Her vocabulary is a bit limited, consisting of only the word "meow" and variations on it, but there are a lot of variations, both in tone and content.
